The Department of Media Science prepares students for careers in the dynamic world of digital communication, content creation, and multimedia production. The Department of Media Studies, SRM Institute of Science & Technology (Ramapuram), participated in "The Art of Seeing Differently," a three-day photography workshop held from 3–5 July 2026 at IIT Madras, organised by the Accessibility Research Centre (ARC) with 36 students from Visual Communication, Film Technology, and Journalism programmes. Convened by Dr. V. Prabakaran and coordinated by Mr. B. Saravanan and Mr. S. Makesh, the workshop introduced students to inclusive, multisensory approaches to photography through blindfold exercises and mentor-guided sessions with leading accessibility advocates and media professionals, fostering empathy and socially responsible visual storytelling.
