The Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Ramapuram, was established in the year 2019. The department offers B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programmes aimed at imparting knowledge in the field of Biotechnology, covering both fundamental concepts and recent advancements through an interdisciplinary and research-oriented curriculum.

Equipped with well-established state-of-the-art laboratories and advanced infrastructure, the department provides a high-quality learning environment that promotes both theoretical understanding and practical exposure. The curriculum is designed to support the holistic development of students and prepare them to contribute to scientific advancements through higher education, employment, and entrepreneurship.
